Cyber Claims Counsel - France (M/W)

What you will do

• Handle cyber incident intake and coordinate breach counsel, forensic investigators, defense counsel, coverage counsel, and other external partners.
• Evaluate the full portfolio of claims in France, including complex and litigated claims arising from security failures and data breaches.
• Assess liability, claim value, coverage, reserves, and settlement opportunities while maintaining accurate claim documentation.
• Guide and monitor third-party service providers, including their work quality, strategy, and spending.
• Build relationships with brokers, insured stakeholders, partner carriers, and other participants in the French market.
• Provide claims data to underwriters, support business development, and lead client cyber-incident preparedness and tabletop exercises.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience handling cyber claims and litigation.
• Experience with European cyber incidents; experience with wider financial lines claims such as D&O and E&O is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; an insurance law or insurance management diploma is preferred.
• Fluent French and English are required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, client interaction, analytical, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Italian and/or Spanish language skills.
• Experience handling claims for the Spanish and/or Italian market.
