Senior Registered Nurse (Oncology)

Location: Grandview, El Paso, Texas, United States. Full-time Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; no weekends, call, or major holidays. Occasional travel may be required between El Paso clinics.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of oncology patient care.
• Assess patients’ health status, medical history, and psychosocial needs.
• Provide patient and family education, support, and referrals to community resources.
• Manage medication refill requests, triage patient calls, and document information in patient charts.
• Schedule consultations, diagnostic tests, procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Coordinate communication with families and interdisciplinary care teams while supporting LPNs, LVNs, and medical assistants.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• At least one year of nursing experience; entry, mid-level, and senior-level candidates may be considered.
• Current RN license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work in an oncology/hematology clinic environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
