Advanced Med-Surg Clinical Nursing Faculty

Location: In-person clinical teaching in the Springfield or Peoria, Illinois areas; the posting location is Galesburg, Illinois, USA

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment

What you will do

• Mentor BSN students in inpatient clinical settings and connect classroom and simulation learning with patient care.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise and evaluate students' nursing practice.
• Create clinical assignments and provide documented feedback, remediation, and timely grading.
• Coordinate with clinical-site personnel on policies, procedures, expectations, and student or agency concerns.
• Contribute to curriculum implementation, program assessment, retention efforts, and college development.
• Serve as a professional role model and collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience in the area of instruction within the last five years.
• Availability for in-person clinical instruction in the Springfield or Peoria, Illinois areas.
