Maryland Oncology Hematology is an independent oncology practice providing comprehensive cancer care, personalized treatment plans, clinical research, and multidisciplinary patient support across Maryland and Washington, DC.

What you will do

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology and hematology patients.
  • Initiate and document interventions, evaluate patient and family responses, and prescribe therapies as indicated.
  • Perform procedures after completing appropriate training.
  • Educate patients and families, promote wellness, and recommend community resources.
  • Apply evidence-based research in clinical practice and complete reimbursement, charge capture, and medical record documentation requirements.
  • Provide case management, staff education, hospital rounding, and weekend or after-hours coverage when required.

Requirements

  • Entry-level profile with typically 0–3 years of relevant post-graduate or practice experience.
  • For Nurse Practitioners: an accredited MSN and Nurse Practitioner program, RN and Nurse Practitioner state licensure, and current State Board of Nursing registration.
  • For Physician Assistants: completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program, current NCCPA certification, and current state licensure.
  • For Clinical Nurse Specialists: an accredited MSN and Clinical Nurse Specialist program, RN and Clinical Nurse Specialist state licensure, and current State Board of Nursing registration.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
  • Ability to handle and lift patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
