Industrial Safety Consultant [DOE0029028]

Location: Richland, Washington, United States; predominantly on-site at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site, with some remote support as approved. Field presence is required.

What you will do

• Conduct hazard assessments and industrial hygiene surveys.
• Perform industrial hygiene monitoring, job hazard analyses, and exposure analyses.
• Support compliance with 10 CFR 851 requirements.
• Lead industrial hygiene sampling during outages.
• Provide environment, safety, health, and quality assurance support for DOE Environmental Management programs.
• Support daily program and project management activities for Hanford Field Office engagements.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of industrial hygiene or industrial safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or safety.
• HAZWOPER qualification.
• Ability to work at or near the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, with required field presence.
• Ability to meet applicable facility and DOE clearance requirements when assigned to classified or sensitive work.
• Strong observation, coaching, vigilance, teamwork, communication, organization, and judgment skills.

Nice to have

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
• Experience in the Environmental Management sector.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio.
