Industrial Hygienist

Location: Hybrid, based in Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ; or Allentown, PA. Domestic travel outside the home state is expected at 40–50%, with some international travel potentially required.

What you will do

• Provide industrial hygiene and ergonomics support to plant leaders and facilities across North America.
• Develop quantitative workplace exposure assessment strategies for airborne stressors, radiation, heat stress, and biological agents.
• Perform chemical air sampling, noise dosimetry, sound level mapping, and physical and biological hazard assessments.
• Conduct industrial hygiene and ergonomic risk assessments and prioritize appropriate control measures.
• Prescribe controls through material substitution, process modification, ventilation, PPE, and changes in work practices.
• Develop training programs and occupational health standards, analyze exposure and injury data, and support audits and government inspections.

Requirements

• 2–10 years of experience in an industrial hygiene role.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or a related technical field.
• Expertise in U.S. OSHA, MSHA, CGA, and related regulations and policies.
• Experience with incident investigation, cause-and-effects analysis, risk assessment, and data analysis.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English; Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable personal vehicle, and ability to meet physical requirements in industrial environments.

Nice to have

• Industrial gas or chemical industry experience.
• Master’s degree in industrial hygiene, public health, or a related field.
• CIH certification or progress toward certification through BGC/ABIH.
• Continuous Improvement facilitator training.
