What you will do

• Portray trained patient characters in clinical encounters with medical students.
• Memorize and consistently present case histories, emotions, behaviors, symptoms, and physical findings.
• Respond accurately to student questions while maintaining the assigned patient character.
• Participate in group training, follow instructions, and incorporate feedback from program trainers.
• Take part in sessions that may be audio- or video-recorded and may include non-invasive physical examinations by students.
• Maintain confidentiality and work professionally with learners, faculty, trainers, and peers.

Requirements

• Ability to role-play and act convincingly in a clinical setting.
• Ability to learn quickly, memorize case scripts, follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively.
• Dependable, punctual, flexible, and reliable with scheduling and assignments.
• Willingness to participate in group training, accept ongoing feedback, and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to wear a hospital gown with undergarments during sessions and to undergo permitted non-invasive physical examinations.
