Medical Assistant Instructor - Part Time

Location: Tucson, AZ, USA; campus-based position

Salary: $24–$25 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver current medical assisting instruction and technological and academic training.
• Design and teach lesson plans that accommodate different abilities and learning styles.
• Provide ongoing academic advising and career-related counseling.
• Monitor student progress, identify at-risk students, and refer them to appropriate campus services.
• Participate in academic committees and support program and institutional initiatives.
• Collaborate with campus departments while following company, state, Department of Education, and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma; advanced education or a college degree is preferred, with equivalent experience considered.
• Three years of hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant.
• Current knowledge of medical assistant practice and the ability to mentor a diverse student population.
• Strong interpersonal, oral presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program.
• Certified Medical Assistant credentials such as RMA, CMA, or NRCMA.
• Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
