Lab And Facility Operations Engineer – MEMS (Cleanroom)

Location: Delft, Netherlands; the role involves hands-on work in a laboratory and cleanroom environment.

Salary: €64,000–€88,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day operation, organization, and readiness of the MEMS laboratory and cleanroom.
• Maintain tooling, consumables, lab systems, and operational uptime.
• Support equipment installation, setup, commissioning, experiments, and engineering activities.
• Operate and support facility infrastructure including vacuum, gas, exhaust, and utilities.
• Coordinate upgrades, modifications, preventive maintenance, suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and cleanroom practices.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a laboratory, cleanroom, pilot production, or technical operations environment.
• Hands-on technical background with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting equipment, infrastructure, or facility systems.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of operational topics.
• Technical education at MBO+, HBO, or equivalent level through experience.
• Fluent spoken and written Dutch and English.
