Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Maastricht, Netherlands — Galjoenweg 68; approximately 30% travel to customer sites.

What you will do

• Act as the quality interface for EMEA customers and support audits, quality reviews, complaints, and corrective actions.
• Lead structured root-cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies.
• Translate customer quality requirements into internal actions and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across Operations and Quality by analyzing production, assembly, and logistics processes.
• Maintain the ISO-based Quality Management System and contribute to internal audits, KPI monitoring, and data-driven improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams and represent Nordson EFD during customer visits.

Requirements

• HBO degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in a quality role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong spoken and written English; German and Dutch are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, with approximately 30% travel required.
• Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Pragmatic, hands-on, independent, and solution-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 9001; ISO 13485 and ISO 15378 are additional advantages.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with customer audits, complaint handling, plastic molding, or technical assembly operations.
• VCA-VOL certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience in an international matrix organization and a background in operational excellence.
