Category Leader Electronics (Electrical Components)

What you will do

• Manage strategic and operational sourcing for connectors, PCBs, PCBAs, active components, and passive components.
• Analyze international supply markets, including suppliers, technologies, costs, and risks.
• Develop regional category strategies aligned with global sourcing initiatives.
• Select, evaluate, and develop suppliers, including second-source strategies and supplier audits.
• Conduct price, contract, and framework agreement negotiations with national and international suppliers.
• Manage supply risks, bottlenecks, cost-reduction initiatives, and cross-functional projects with Engineering and Operations.

Requirements

• Several years of strategic or technical procurement experience, ideally in electrical or electronics-related categories.
• Experience at Professional or Senior Category Leader level, including supplier management, negotiations, cost analysis, and value analysis.
• Ability to read and evaluate BOMs, technical drawings, and specifications, and to work closely with Engineering.
• Fluent, negotiation-level English and Romanian are mandatory.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and ownership skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% is mandatory. Knowledge of M3 or SAP ERP is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in industrial, railway, data center, telecom, MedTech, or automotive industries.
• German language skills, particularly for cooperation with smaller suppliers.
• Technical or commercial education, or a degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration.
