Quality Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Kirkland, Quebec, Canada; onsite work during normal or extended business hours

What you will do

• Handle customer complaints and investigate issues in collaboration with engineering.
• Follow up with departments to ensure corrective actions resolve customer issues promptly.
• Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance methodologies, controls, and inspection protocols.
• Perform first article inspections and support audits based on quality standards.
• Provide progress updates to the quality manager and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent the organization in discussions involving difficult technical quality issues and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in an electronics company.
• Experience with Six Sigma, 8D investigations, Ishikawa diagrams, and 5 Whys.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, contract review, measurement tools, and audits based on AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and French.
• Must pass a Canadian Controlled Goods Program security assessment, including verification of Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status, criminal record, and other security checks. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work throughout office, warehouse, and manufacturing areas is also required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electrostatic discharge requirements and experience installing ESD tools.
• Experience delivering training.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and microscopes.
