What you will do
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness and compliance with Transport Canada Civil Aviation CAR 571 and 573 requirements.
- Perform conformity, dimensional, functional, receiving, hidden-damage, and in-process inspections of aircraft, components, structures, electrical systems, paint, composites, and backshop outputs.
- Approve or reject parts, quarantine non-conforming components, and verify identification, documentation, serial numbers, and airworthiness certificates.
- Issue TCCA Form Ones and conformity records, support return-to-service approvals, and maintain aircraft and component records.
- Support audits, incident handling, non-conformance management, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate failures, identify root causes, define corrective actions, and train technicians on quality and human-factor considerations.
Requirements
- TCCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, aviation, engineering, or a related field, or 15 years of combined quality assurance and aviation maintenance experience in lieu of a degree.
- 10 years of related quality inspection experience with aircraft components and systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, regulatory documentation, reports, and test specifications.
- Experience with inspection tools and devices used to determine tolerances and specification limits.
- English proficiency required for reading, writing, speaking, and communication with colleagues, management, and customers.
Nice to have
- Airbus H125, H130, or H135 type-rated training.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, SAP, Smartsheet, OnBase, and Orion eTechPub.
