Senior Manager, EMI - HDM

Location: Chicago/Aon Center, United States; hybrid schedule with at least three in-person days per workweek and up to two virtual days

Base salary: $120,800–$151,000 annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of external manufacturing buyers responsible for sourcing and supplier management.
• Direct sourcing activities including supplier selection, bidding, negotiations, contracting coordination, implementation, and follow-through.
• Develop category and supplier strategies, including a three-year view of supplier needs, supply base development, financial delivery, and resilience.
• Lead supplier relationship management, performance improvement, risk management, business continuity planning, and supplier development.
• Partner with R&D, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain on sourcing decisions, network design, manufacturing footprint optimization, and make-versus-buy analyses.
• Establish governance, metrics, and continuous improvement routines to improve accountability, execution speed, service, cost, cash, and supply continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, operations, engineering, or a related field.
• Significant procurement experience, ideally including external manufacturing, finished goods, ingredients, packaging, CAPEX, or related categories.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience with coaching and team development.
• Strong experience in sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, contracting, category strategy, and operational execution.
• Strong communication, influencing, stakeholder management, problem-solving, prioritization, and execution skills in matrixed environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with source-to-pay tools such as SAP, Ariba, and Workday.

• MBA and/or advanced procurement qualifications.
