Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Middletown, Iowa, United States; remote/onsite arrangement listed, with regular duties at the company office or worksite

Salary: $90,640–$135,960 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute long-term strategic sourcing agreements for key commodities, machined parts, energetics, and specialty materials.
• Negotiate supplier agreements, analyze cost structures and market trends, and conduct make-versus-buy analyses.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience and support production schedules.
• Lead supplier audits and ensure specifications and quality requirements comply with prime contracts.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management on product and program requirements.
• Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation and cost-reduction plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, government regulations, and legal contracting principles.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, communication, analytical, decision-making, change-management, and conflict-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, SAP, and ERP systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance may be required; successful background screening is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in government contracting, the munitions industry, and manufacturing environments.
• Experience with CADD tools such as Revit or Bentley.
