Senior Manager, IT – Manufacturing Capabilities (Manufacturing)

Location: Amsterdam, Chicago, or Toronto; travel to manufacturing sites typically 20–30% depending on the project phase.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing technology projects from initiation through hypercare, managing scope, schedule, cost, risks, and measurable business outcomes.
• Establish project governance through charters, stage gates, risk and issue management, decision logs, and steering committee cadence.
• Coordinate integrated plans across IT, OT and automation, process engineering, validation, cybersecurity, and vendors across multiple sites.
• Drive change readiness through training, SOP updates, cutover planning, support models, and shop-floor adoption.
• Align solution design with enterprise architecture, manufacturing standards, and technology roadmaps.
• Manage estimates, budgets, forecasts, purchase order spend, benefits tracking, documentation, testing evidence, and operational handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years in project delivery and/or application management.
• Experience delivering solutions in discrete, process, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems and integration patterns, including shop-floor and ERP integration.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and multi-site deployments in a global manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in waterfall, hybrid, and agile delivery methods, project governance, resource management, and financial management; experience with on-premise and cloud environments.
