Senior R&D Engineer (Mechanical)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end mechanical product development from feasibility and prototyping through validation, certification, and supplier coordination.
• Drive design for manufacturability, pilot builds, and scalable, cost-effective production-ready designs.
• Develop material, component, and product specifications aligned with quality standards.
• Translate product goals into technical requirements, milestones, and prioritized engineering plans.
• Validate designs through testing, performance evaluations, prototyping, and third-party compliance activities.
• Lead design reviews, FMEA activities, risk mitigation, and cross-functional launch-readiness work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, supplier quality, and product engineering.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing standards, mechanical assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with metals, polymers, and composites, including forming, machining, and injection molding.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Ihirify.globalor, 3D modeling, assemblies, technical drawings, and PDM/PLM systems.
• Strong analytical, technical, communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
