What you will do

• Lead mechanical design activities for complex engineered products.
• Produce detailed SolidWorks models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Support design reviews and facilitate technical decision-making.
• Conduct engineering analysis and design assessments to validate solutions.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing and test teams to ensure practical and cost-effective designs.
• Support prototype development and product improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in mechanical design using SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of the entire product development lifecycle from concept to testing.
• Proven experience delivering mechanical solutions in complex engineering environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical military background.
• Must be eligible and willing to obtain SC (Security Clearance).
• Must be able to work on-site in Bedford, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience in marine, subsea, or underwater technology sectors.
• Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and structural assessment techniques.
• Experience designing mechanical housings for electronic systems.
• Familiarity with environmental qualification and testing activities.
