Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; full-time, in-person school-based role

Salary: $55,000–$81,000+ for uncertified teachers or $60,000–$91,000+ for certified teachers, based on experience and certification status.

What you will do

  • Create rigorous, engaging unit and daily lesson plans using provided curricula and resources.
  • Build a safe, organized, inclusive classroom where students feel affirmed, valued, and challenged.
  • Analyze student work and academic data to adjust instruction, refine curricula, and support student growth.
  • Provide accommodations and modifications, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families about student progress.
  • Collaborate with grade-level colleagues, instructional coaches, and school leadership through professional development and feedback.
  • Support school operations through family events, home visits, student supervision, field trips, and other school-wide activities.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience; experience in an urban setting is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Pennsylvania State Certification Level I or II strongly preferred.
  • Uncertified candidates must enroll in a Pennsylvania-approved certification program within one year of hire and submit transcripts for the emergency permit application.
  • Strong classroom management, student growth, collaboration, adaptability, and culturally competent inclusive teaching skills.
  • Required before the start date: Pennsylvania State Police Clearance, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, and Cogent Federal Fingerprinting.
