Rail/Transit Project Manager (Railway Engineering)

Salary: $167,632.13–$191,579.57 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of railway infrastructure projects, including tracks, bridges, tunnels, stations, and associated structures.
• Define project scope, objectives, requirements, budgets, schedules, and resource plans with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, environmental, and railway standards and regulations.
• Assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement QA/QC procedures across the project lifecycle.
• Manage client, contractor, regulatory agency, and internal stakeholder communications, reporting, milestones, and documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff while incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of railway engineering experience focused on the design, construction, and maintenance of rail infrastructure.
• 10+ years of proficiency with MicroStation, InRail, OpenRail, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of AREMA, CPUC, AAR, FRA, and MTA standards, processes, and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and multi-project management skills.
