Lead Fullstack Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; full-time onsite role. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $99,600–$169,200 USD annually, plus a potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise digital solutions for the Client Onboarding & Lifecycle Management portfolio.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance while promoting engineering best practices.
• Optimize applications, data platforms, and event stores, including logging, monitoring, reporting, dashboards, and security administration.
• Drive architecture reviews, testing, code quality, Agile delivery, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, business, and technology stakeholders to define solutions and strategic priorities.
• Monitor system health, resolve stability and scalability issues, and mitigate technology, operational, and security risks.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of full-stack Java/JEE development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and web application development.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, Elasticsearch, MQ/Solace, and enterprise integration technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of Linux, cloud platforms, VMware, networking, and security technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
