Lead Full Stack Engineer (Java/Spring Boot/Angular)

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid work with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of full stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and Angular.
• Own complex technical initiatives from solution design through implementation and production support.
• Contribute to architecture and technology decisions focused on scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, business, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through code and design reviews, mentoring, and influence over technical direction.
• Champion CI/CD, automated testing, secure coding, observability, and AI-assisted engineering automation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP services, and microservices.
• 5+ years of Angular or full stack development experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, APIs, distributed systems, SQL, relational databases, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, source control, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to independently design and deliver complex enterprise solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree required; the role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, wealth management, or other enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience with JasperReports, MQ/Kafka, NoSQL databases, distributed caching, cloud-native architectures, and modern deployment platforms.
• Practical experience applying AI-assisted engineering tools to software design, development, and automation.
