Principal Software Developer (.NET)

Location: Onsite in San Diego, California, five days a week

Salary: $120,600–$180,900 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement modern software tools supporting product design, testing, and validation.
• Collaborate with product owners, technical architects, business analysts, stakeholders, and a global cross-functional team.
• Create detailed technical designs and project plans.
• Build robust, efficient, and secure software solutions using Agile development methods.
• Modernize legacy software tools and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Mentor, train, and support team members developing and upgrading software tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience with C#, VB.NET, Python, TypeScript, and the .NET framework.
• Hands-on database design experience with Oracle or SQL.
• Required understanding of Windows Forms; experience with WinUI or other XAML-based frameworks is preferred.
• Proficiency with Entity Framework and Dapper, plus familiarity with API development, middleware, and token-based authentication and authorization.
• Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work with end users and business leaders.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of React and Angular v17+.
• Experience modernizing legacy software tools.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and Agile software development methodologies.
