Software Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; hybrid environment with occasional travel

Salary: $108,496.89–$149,183.22 per year

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of complex software components for aerospace applications.
• Debug and troubleshoot advanced software issues while maintaining detailed code documentation.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote code quality and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to define software requirements and specifications.
• Integrate software with hardware systems and support continuous improvements in performance and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C# or Java and practical knowledge of software engineering principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux/RHEL, Windows services, tactical or moving-map software integration, and hardware integration.
• Knowledge of protocol development and aerospace or defense industry practices.
• Experience with C, C++, HTML, Python, Bash, automated builds, static analysis, artifact repositories, and requirements-tracking tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or Spiral methodologies and data structures.
