Software Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Salary: $108,496.89–$149,183.22 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of complex software components.
• Debug advanced software issues and support software integration with hardware systems.
• Define software requirements and specifications with stakeholders.
• Write detailed code documentation and conduct code reviews.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain software quality and engineering standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and practical knowledge of software engineering principles.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for employment; non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible for the required clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux/RHEL and Windows services.
• Knowledge of tactical or moving-map software integration, hardware integration, and protocol development.
• Background in aerospace and defense.
• Experience with C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, WPF, and .NET.
• Experience with requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, repositories, automated builds, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or Spiral methodologies.
