Sr Principal Infrastructure Software Engineer

Salary: $161,000–$299,000 annually, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and maintain control systems for product build systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Build infrastructure components integrating databases, systems, APIs, and REST services.
• Develop web applications for customers and internal infrastructure using database-backed services.
• Automate order importing, product delivery, fulfillment, and release operations.
• Manage release branches, improve existing software, and support adaptation to new hardware and interfaces.
• Design tests, integrate features into releases, and collaborate with marketing, applications, and order processing teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field with 7 years of related experience, or bachelor’s degree with 10 years of related experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Perl, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and shell scripting.
• Experience building database-driven production systems and Java and React web applications based on REST services and SQL databases.
• Experience architecting web and application servers, particularly Tomcat, and designing SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building test systems, using Jenkins or equivalent tools, and working with dashboarding systems such as Grafana.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, collaboration, and Windows/Linux scripting skills, with an understanding of operating systems and computer architecture.
