Senior Software Engineer (Virtual Power Plant)

Salary: $135,000–$153,000 USD annual base compensation plus bonus

What you will do

• Develop scalable backend services and robust APIs for the AI-powered virtual power plant platform.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines for production delivery.
• Design scalable relational and NoSQL data models and automated data-quality monitoring systems.
• Improve reliability through testing, monitoring, benchmarking, debugging, and proactive technical risk management.
• Evaluate and establish responsible patterns for using agentic AI in coding, reviews, testing, and operational runbooks while mentoring peers and collaborating with Product, Delivery, and Operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering scalable, production-grade systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a similar object-oriented programming language, with an emphasis on readable, testable, and maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile or Lean development, full service ownership, and operational excellence.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a strictly related field; eligibility to obtain CFIUS approval is required.
