Technology Director – Back Office Financial Systems

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid work with attendance at a hirify.global office at least 10–12 days per month. Travel is less than 25%. Work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

What you will do

• Set the strategy and oversee the delivery and lifecycle management of enterprise financial systems.
• Lead finance technology domains including general ledger, accounts payable, revenue management, billing, budgeting, planning, forecasting, consolidations, and reporting.
• Advise Finance executives and translate business needs into secure, scalable, and cost-effective technology solutions.
• Oversee multi-year finance transformation programs, process standardization, governance, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Drive AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, analytics, and GenAI use cases across Finance and IT.
• Build and develop financial systems teams while managing vendors, system integrators, service providers, controls, resilience, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial systems, ERP/EPM leadership, or enterprise technology; the posting also indicates more than 15 years of general experience and 10–15 years of manager experience.
• Hands-on and leadership experience implementing and supporting cloud EPM and ERP platforms.
• Experience advising senior Finance and business leaders and leading software vendors and system integrators.
• Strong understanding of finance data models, integrations, reporting architectures, controls, audit, security, and access management.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Saint Petersburg, Florida arrangement; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with OneStream or other cloud EPM and cloud finance ERP solutions.
• Experience with Oracle Financial platforms, including PeopleSoft, Revenue Management and Billing, and Financial Accounting Hub.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tools, analytics platforms, or intelligent automation technologies.
