Vice President, Software Engineering (Java)

What you will do

• Build and maintain financial systems that manage P&L, capital, balance sheet, liquidity metrics, and regulatory obligations.
• Define the vision and architecture for systems supporting future business strategies and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Develop workflows, data requirements, specifications, technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans.
• Partner with divisions and engineering teams to deliver shared goals and support business needs.
• Establish and maintain software development and engineering best practices.
• Engage with revenue areas, Risk, Engineering, stakeholders, and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering industry experience.
• 5+ years of development experience with Java and other programming languages.
• Knowledge of traditional RDBMS and modern NoSQL datastores.
• Experience designing and architecting systems and defining long-term product vision.
• Strong project management, people management, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills, including work with technical and business audiences globally.

Nice to have

• Cloud experience.
• Experience in the financial domain, including P&L, balance sheet, regulatory capital, or Basel 3.
