TL;DR
Foundry Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (Manufacturing): Maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a foundry manufacturing facility with an accent on equipment troubleshooting, PLC programming, and preventive maintenance. Focus on diagnosing malfunctions, restoring production equipment, applying OSHA and electrical safety requirements, and supporting operators and maintenance personnel during the 9 pm–5:30 am shift.

Location: On-site in Franklin, New Hampshire, United States. Third shift: 9:00 pm–5:30 am, with overtime as needed. Up to 10% travel for training may be required.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot, test, repair, install, start up, and shut down mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain required equipment performance and maintenance records.
  • Apply electrical and mechanical principles, local and national electrical codes, OSHA requirements, and company safety procedures.
  • Advise operators and line mechanics on safe equipment operation and communicate potential technical issues and hazards.
  • Support maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and help train other maintenance team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with high proficiency in these areas.
  • Computer operation experience and PLC programming skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic components and diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work professionally with operators, maintenance staff, management, and other personnel.
  • Ability to work overtime, stand for long periods, move around the manufacturing floor, lift and push or pull up to 25 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cutting, welding, and fabrication.
  • Ability to cover other shifts.
