Salary: $153,862–$205,149 per year, specific to Washington State.

What you will do

  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of ongoing licensing activities for the Natrium advanced reactor project.
  • Oversee the development, review, and maintenance of licensing documents, including Construction Permit and Operating License Applications, Safety Analysis Reports, and Environmental Reports.
  • Manage regulatory engagements with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, including pre-application meetings, audits, inspections, and responses to information requests.
  • Ensure designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements and strict quality assurance standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines, project stakeholders, partners, and other organizations across the project.
  • Develop licensing strategies that support project goals and direct a distributed group of licensing engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in the nuclear industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in new or advanced reactor licensing or oversight.
  • 2+ years of supervisory, mentoring, or equivalent people-leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with 10 CFR regulations, 10 CFR 50 application content, and risk-informed, performance-based regulatory guidance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, work in a matrix organization, direct remote team members, and follow strict quality assurance standards.
