What you will do

• Analyze user and system requirements for inspection and measurement hardware, software, and systems.
• Design, develop, document, and modify programs and prototypes for CNC metrology equipment and automated inspection systems.
• Create automated measurement programs for manual and CNC metrology equipment, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency.
• Design and procure functional gaging, including custom fixtures and workholding solutions.
• Develop documentation for inspection programs, fixtures, and gages to deliver turnkey solutions.
• Present inspection results to technical audiences and research metrology innovations for continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of inspection or metrology experience in medical, consumer, automotive, or aerospace industries.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with CNC CMM software such as PolyWorks, PC-DMIS, or Calypso.
• Experience with 3D scan inspection software and 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, ProE, NX, or Creo.
• Ability to create work instructions, training documentation, or standards.
• Availability for approximately two domestic trips per year, with each trip lasting 3–7 days.

Nice to have

• Education in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, or Computer Science.
• Inspection or metrology certifications such as CWI or NDT.
• Experience with machine operating system programs, DFM, DFA, DFMEA, regulated product development, or agency certifications.
• Experience with project management software and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Software development or automation systems certifications.
