Staff Metrology & Inspection Engineer (CMM/Optical Inspection): Developing and sustaining measurement programs for CMM, vision, and optical inspection systems used to verify manufacturing compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and CTQ requirements with an accent on GD&T, measurement system capability, and inspection data analysis. Focus on executing MSA, GR&R, SPC, and Cp/Cpk analysis, translating design requirements into inspection routines, and supporting production ramps in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

What you will do
- Develop, validate, and maintain measurement programs for CMM, vision, and optical inspection systems.
- Support incoming, in-process, and supplier quality inspection, including print review and CTQ interpretation.
- Perform root cause analysis for measurement and inspection nonconformances and support CAPA implementation.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier Engineering to ensure inspection readiness during product ramps.
- Create SOPs, inspection documentation, and work instructions, and train metrology technicians.
- Analyze inspection data and execute SPC, Cp/Cpk, GR&R, and MSA to identify variation drivers and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in metrology, inspection engineering, or manufacturing quality.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, CMM programming, and SPC methodologies.
- Experience with CMM and vision systems such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, OGP, MicroVu, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with GR&R, MSA, and interpretation of Cp/Cpk results.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing or complex supply chain environments and proficiency with Minitab or JMP.
Nice to have
- Experience with liquid-cooled hardware, enclosures, or high-speed interconnect components.
- Six Sigma Green Belt.
