Quality Inspector (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Batavia, New York, USA; onsite Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

Salary: USD 40,000–59,000 per year

What you will do

• Inspect incoming raw materials and in-process products using sampling plans, engineering prints, and metrology instruments.
• Perform first-piece inspections, customer and supplier PPAP dimensional layouts, and print conformance checks.
• Examine defective parts, determine defect causes, and maintain inspection and testing records.
• Program and operate CMM equipment and conduct process capability studies.
• Maintain, control, and calibrate gauges and develop inspection plans with revision control.
• Support audits, product containment, sorting, GP 12/Safe Launch activities, and cross-functional quality initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of quality inspection experience.
• Blueprint reading, GD&T, and metrology experience required.
• Knowledge of PPAP and GP-12/Safe Launch processes.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with inspection tooling, CMM operation, spreadsheet software, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Access.
• Ability to work onsite in Batavia, New York, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.
