Metrology & Measurement Technician

Location: Secaucus, NJ, United States; full-time onsite role

Base salary: $22.50 per hour, with the final rate determined by experience, skills, education, and certifications.

What you will do

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using hand tools and automated measurement equipment.
• Operate CMMs, vision systems, laser scanners, and other inspection equipment using established programs.
• Identify and escalate out-of-tolerance conditions according to established procedures.
• Document inspection results, calibration records, and nonconformances accurately.
• Support incoming quality, in-process inspection, and supplier quality activities.
• Maintain inspection equipment, fixtures, lab organization, and calibration schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical certification is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience as a metrology, quality, or calibration technician.
• Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret basic GD&T.
• Familiarity with calibration systems, inspection records, and quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a production-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronics, mechanical assemblies, or EMS/ODM manufacturing.
• Experience operating CMMs or automated inspection systems.
• Exposure to ISO quality systems or calibration standards.
