Smartsheet Configuration Consultant (Smartsheet)

Location: Remote within the United States; conditions list New York City, New York, United States.

Rate: $60–$65/hr W2. Duration: through the end of 2026, with a chance of extension.

What you will do

• Design, build, configure, and administer complex Smartsheet solutions, including sheets, reports, dashboards, forms, Dynamic View, Pivot App, DataMesh, and automation workflows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable solution architectures, structured data models, reporting outputs, and executive dashboards.
• Configure DataMesh and Pivot App solutions to synchronize, distribute, summarize, and refresh data across sheets and reports.
• Build and maintain cross-sheet formulas, workflows, reports, dashboards, reconciliation processes, and data-quality controls.
• Design role-based access models and security controls for sensitive organizational and workforce data.
• Test, troubleshoot, optimize, release, and support Smartsheet solutions in production while maintaining governance and audit documentation.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience designing and building Smartsheet solutions for other users, preferably in client-facing consulting or enterprise delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Smartsheet sheets, project plans, forms, dashboards, reports, cross-sheet references and formulas, Dynamic View, and automation workflows.
• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting DataMesh and Pivot App solutions.
• Experience with structured data models, large datasets, unique identifiers, lookup relationships, reconciliation, reporting optimization, and platform performance limits.
• Working knowledge of enterprise data governance, permissions, role-based access, security controls, production support, and audit-ready documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; strong requirements-gathering, facilitation, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Smartsheet certification at Solution Professional level or above.
• Experience with DataTable, Data Shuttle, Control Center, Global Updates, connectors, or enterprise integrations.
• Experience building executive and operational analytics in Smartsheet.
• Experience with high-volume enterprise environments or regulated settings requiring confidentiality, auditability, and strict access controls.
