Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States. Full-time role with travel for team meetings, client consultations, business development, inspections, and occasional overnight visits. is currently unable to hire employees residing in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Puerto Rico. Candidates willing to relocate should indicate this in their application.
Base compensation: $95,000–$140,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct multiple transportation and highway projects for a variety of clients.
- Build and maintain client relationships throughout project development and after completion.
- Manage, mentor, and collaborate with staff to support effective project teams.
- Prepare project approaches, scopes, fees, proposals, client presentations, and project teams.
- Make major design decisions with clients and perform complex design calculations.
- Represent at agency and public meetings while checking completed work and ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer license in Minnesota.
- Experience with highway design and construction of Minnesota Department of Transportation projects.
- Design experience using MicroStation, GeoPak, or OpenRoads Designer.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- At least six years of design experience.
- At least two years of managing project design teams.
- Supervisory or mentoring experience in the related field.
- Experience at a civil engineering consulting firm in design or project management.
- Active participation in professional organizations, conferences, or technical publications.
