Manufacturing Drafter (SolidWorks)

Location: Anoka, Minnesota, United States; onsite

Salary: $20.40–$37.80 per hour

What you will do

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to align design intent with manufacturability.
• Maintain drawing standards and technical documentation according to company and industry guidelines.
• Support prototype development and testing with accurate design data and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design, build, and help qualify fixtures, custom tools, and inspection tools while organizing CAD files in PLM systems.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, mechanical design, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of CAD design experience is preferred, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
