Imaging Scan Coordinator

Location: Pleasant Hill, California, United States; office-based

Hourly rate: $29.71–$38.76 per hour, depending on skills and experience

What you will do

• Schedule imaging appointments at the appropriate Bayside location.
• Process incoming imaging orders from internal and external providers.
• Respond to patient calls and inquiries about imaging appointments.
• Enter patient information and manage the imaging order work queue in Epic EMR.
• Follow clinician requests received by phone, email, or through Epic EMR.
• Verify that medical records are available and provide modality-specific pre-procedural instructions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• One year of imaging scheduling experience preferred.
• One year of experience with Epic EMR preferred.
• Ability to work in an office environment with frequent interaction by phone with patients, clinical staff, physicians, and external practices.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform occasional bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting of supplies up to 30 pounds.
