Test Lab Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States. Second shift runs Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM. Training on first shift, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM, is required.

What you will do

• Inspect test pieces for compliance with quality standards, aerospace and military specifications, test requests, and customer requirements.
• Set up, operate, and break down tests while collecting and documenting written or electronic data.
• Verify that test equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly, and remove overdue equipment from service.
• Provide accurate test results to quality assurance and engineering teams.
• Assist technical teams with testing problems, equipment malfunctions, and other laboratory issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory while following all safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; college or vocational coursework, military experience, or equivalent education and experience is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills, and prior experience using mechanical tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, product manuals, and equipment operating manuals.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry and calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
