Quality Assurance Technician (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Pottsville, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at a manufacturing site.

Advanced composites manufacturer producing carbon fiber, woven reinforcements, resins, prepregs, honeycombs, and additive-manufactured parts for aerospace and other industries.

What you will do

• Obtain and maintain source inspection authorization for products delivered to customers under source delegation.
• Support customer source inspectors during first article and production inspections.
• Support new product introduction by completing first article inspections and developing inspection plans with the Quality Engineer.
• Inspect and review certifications for incoming core and PX materials.
• Monitor the calibration program, perform mechanical calibrations, and coordinate subcontractor calibration activities.
• Monitor inspection tool calibrations and maintain related quality records.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least six months of experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Ability to pass the Quality Delegate Visual Examination, including a color-blindness test.
• Experience using mechanical inspection tools.
• Ability to read and write technical documentation, including purchase orders, specifications, and blueprints.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, qualifying temporary resident, refugee, or asylee.
