What you will do

• Handle and investigate complex Financial Lines claims using proactive, best-practice processes.
• Apply quality standards and Treating Customers Fairly principles throughout claims handling.
• Identify and review suspected fraudulent claims in line with established guidelines.
• Work with internal stakeholders, brokers, experts, and external lawyers as a point of referral.
• Support Team Managers, deputize when required, and monitor market and industry claims practices.
• Use claims experience to help improve insurance products in collaboration with underwriting colleagues.

Requirements

• Knowledge of legal, regulatory, litigation, and procedural requirements for Financial Lines.
• Specialist knowledge of Financial Lines technical claims topics.
• Experience with negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
• Ability to interpret policy wording accurately and consistently.
• Lateral thinking, problem-solving ability, and an interest in improving working practices.
• Strong communication, time management, administration, and report-writing skills.
