Claims Lead Auditor

Location: Hybrid role based in Liverpool or Sevenoaks, UK. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £43,500–£50,000 per annum, plus up to 10% performance-related bonus once established in the role.

What you will do

• Lead the claims audit plan and oversee day-to-day audit workflows.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate the Claims Auditors and Claims Audit Controller.
• Ensure timely production of audit findings and reports.
• Conduct team calibration activities to maintain consistency.
• Identify systemic errors, claims leakage, customer detriment, and regulatory compliance risks.
• Conduct performance evaluations, regular one-to-ones, and broader people-management activities.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of motor claims and claims handling across customer, third-party property damage, credit hire, and personal injury disciplines.
• Experience as a people manager.
• Experience planning, building, and delivering an audit programme.
• Ability to produce clear, concise reports aligned with strategic direction and core values.
• Ability to build stakeholder relationships and influence leaders through openness, trust, and respect.
• Applicants must have at least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; visa sponsorship is not available.
