What you will do

• Install, level, connect, configure, and operate gas turbines, diesel engines, gas compressors, packaged systems, control consoles, subassemblies, and accessories in test cells and fixtures.
• Connect harnesses, simulators, filters, lines, dynamometers, generators, instrumentation, and other test equipment.
• Conduct test runs and final performance acceptance tests for gas turbines and gas compressors.
• Operate computerized data acquisition systems; observe, record, review, and calculate performance parameters.
• Conduct vibration surveys and trim-balance components using vibration analysis and balancing equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust engines and controls, perform rework, and remove units from test facilities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of mechanical- or electrical-related job experience.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing control circuits and replacing faulty components.
• Strong technical, electrical, and mechanical skills with a good understanding of turbine theory.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical or electrical drawings and technical manuals.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring employer-specific sponsorship are not currently being hired for this position.

Nice to have

• Gas turbine package, operational, or testing experience.
• PLC controls experience.
• Airframes and Powerplants (A&P) license.
• Experience operating or testing Solar packages or engines.
• LOU #27 qualification as a QTT.
