Solar Field Service Technician (Coulterville, IL)

Location: Full-time onsite jobsite in Coulterville, Illinois, United States; travel up to 10% may be required for training, certifications, and site coverage.

Compensation: $25.02–$31.27 per hour.

What you will do

• Service solar equipment across multiple solar plants under supervision.
• Perform basic equipment testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and supervised part or equipment repairs.
• Operate and care for company equipment, tooling, and vehicles.
• Respond to on-call requests, including emergency repairs during weekends or after-hours.
• Prepare accurate work documentation and reports.
• Suggest process improvements, collaborate on new technologies, and coordinate implementation with EPC management.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Mechanical or electrical environment experience through formal training or previous work experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and solar plant systems, plus basic testing equipment and computer operation.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts or systems and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Effective English communication skills and the ability to work onsite in remote locations under extreme weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, U.S. work authorization without current or future employer sponsorship, and availability for on-call work are required.
