Press Operator 2 (Sheetfed/2nd Shift)

Location: Smyrna, TN, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

Salary: $24.41–$31.99 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain sheetfed press equipment.
• Complete make-ready tasks, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet print quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain presses, including minor repairs and replacement of worn parts.
• Perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to interpret job specifications and select appropriate press settings, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to perform precise control settings, adjustments, operational maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Knowledge of packing pressure requirements for different printing jobs.
• Ability to use a micrometer to correctly mount and align printing plates.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen is required.
