Maternal Child Clinical Faculty (PT)

Location: In-person clinical teaching at an inpatient clinical setting in the Alamogordo, New Mexico area; the posting is associated with Albuquerque, NM.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Mentor BSN nursing students during in-person clinical experiences on a Labor & Delivery unit.
• Implement the nursing curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences, supervise students directly, and evaluate their nursing performance.
• Create clinical assignments, provide documented feedback, and support student remediation when needed.
• Coordinate with clinical site personnel on policies, procedures, expectations, and student or agency concerns.
• Contribute to program development, assessment, retention efforts, compliance, and college operations.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered New Mexico RN license required.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Teaching experience is not required; solid clinical experience is encouraged.

Nice to have

• Experience in maternal and obstetric nursing, Labor & Delivery, or maternal/newborn care.
