Maternal Child Clinical Faculty (Part-Time/BSNOL Program) (Maternal-Child Nursing): Teaching nursing students in onsite clinical settings through direct supervision, evaluation, remediation, and course-related instruction with an accent on maternal-newborn care, childbearing cycles, high-risk factors, and women’s health. Focus on planning clinical experiences, assessing student performance, and developing assignments aligned with individual learning needs.

Location: Onsite clinical teaching in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. The schedule most commonly consists of 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

  • Implement the nursing curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes through clinical teaching.
  • Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students providing nursing care.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
  • Develop written clinical assignments aligned with students’ knowledge, competencies, and learning needs.
  • Grade coursework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work.
  • Coordinate with clinical agencies and course leadership on policies, student remediation, and issues affecting students or clinical partners.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Unencumbered professional nursing license in Missouri.
  • At least two years of registered nurse experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
  • Illinois RN license is required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
  • Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, and supporting students and colleagues.

  • Teaching or precepting experience.
