Maternal Child Clinical Faculty (part-time), Portland, Oregon (Maternal-Child Nursing): Teaching nursing students in onsite clinical settings through family-centered maternal, newborn, women's health, and child health education with an accent on direct supervision, clinical evaluation, and remediation. Focus on planning clinical experiences, assessing nursing care, and providing documented feedback across normal and high-risk care scenarios.

Location: Portland, Oregon, USA; onsite clinical teaching. The schedule most commonly consists of 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment.

What you will do

  • Teach maternal-child nursing in clinical partner settings for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
  • Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students providing nursing care.
  • Evaluate student performance against course objectives and provide documented feedback and remediation.
  • Orient students to clinical agency policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Prepare clinical assignments and grade coursework, tests, lab assignments, and clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with course coordinators, deans, clinical partners, staff, and faculty on program quality and student success.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Unencumbered Oregon professional nursing license.
  • At least two years of professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
  • Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
  • Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, collaboration, and student support.

  • Teaching or precepting experience.
