Facilities Engineer

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. The role supports remote facilities and requires travel as needed. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Maintain day-to-day operations of Austin facilities and manufacturing spaces.
• Assess facility needs with functional management teams and deliver practical solutions.
• Manage vendors, contractors, landlords, inspectors, building management, and janitorial services.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs for facilities and complex PCB manufacturing and test equipment.
• Lead renovation projects, including architectural design, construction, timelines, and implementation logistics.
• Partner with IT on access control, video monitoring, and security system implementation and maintenance.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in facilities engineering or management and project management.
• Experience in one or more building trades, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry.
• Familiarity with construction management, fire safety requirements, and construction codes.
• Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Technical literacy and knowledge of engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
• U.S. export-regulation eligibility is required; willingness to travel as needed is also required.

• Experience supporting multi-facility, multi-state organizations.
• Experience opening office and manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety laws and regulations and experience supporting EH&S activities.
